We feel very let down by the school and we educate
our daughter at home and she is doing very well. What we feel is
hard to take in, is that bullies stay on at school and have an education
and the victims stay at home and are deprived of this. I do have
very intimidating letters written by the head of the school when
we tried to get the bullying stopped. We even got help from kidscape
but my daughter finished up in hospital and we decided it was not
worth continuing to fight.
We were feeling exhausted with the whole situation and it was
taking over our lives. We felt that we were not getting anywhere.
We wrote to the governors of the school and received no response
from them. We have been far happier away from a school. X would
be fine in a classroom but not in the playground. She got frightened
to the point of hyperventilating and passing out.
I am very pleased that these issues are now being brought to light
but I feel that the schools anti-bullying polices with a no blame
policy in them do not work. Also in our case the school denied bullying
was going on and would not even follow their own anti-bullying policy.
