United Kingdom and American Grades
|
| Many people use the resources on the internet as part of their facilitating
an education for their children. Since facts are (should be)
the same, regardless of their source, we often end up using websites
created by Americans. Sometimes, for those people who do wish
to compare the progress of their children with their schooled peers,
it is difficult to know at what age group a lesson plan/presentation
is aimed. Hopefully the following table will help in matching
the resources available with your child's development, and save you
time in looking around. More information on the
National Curriculum can be found
here. |

* Note that, due to having fixed starting dates for schools, a child
could start school just before their fourth birthday or as late as nearly
at their sixth birthday so there could be quite a distinction between
Years/Grades.
