Hooray I'm a dolphin
I swim through the seas
I splash about
And do whatever I please
I leap throught the air
With all my friends
And watch the sunset
When the day ends

Yippee I'm a dolphin
I play with the Orca
Then visit my mate
It's lovely to talk to her
Then off we dash
Through the coral we go
It's great to live
In the sea you know

Arran is pretty,
Arran is nice.
The only thing missing is cute little mice!
The ocean is blue,
The trees are green,
It's the best Scottish island that I've ever seen!
The rain pours down and makes food for the grass,
The rivers sparkle and twinkle like glass.
Rainbows, snowflakes, gales and sun
The weather in Arran is very good fun!
The ferry to Brodick sails every day,
But stand out on deck and your hat blows away!
A welcome from Ronach's* cold nose on your face,
Arran is really a wonderful place.

*Ronach is Gallic for "seal" and it is the name of the black labrador that lives in the cottage next-door to the one we rent for holidays. Written at age 11.
